API Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using the Bamwor API, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the API.

2. API Keys

You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. Do not share your key publicly or embed it in client-side code. If your key is compromised, contact us immediately.

3. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the API for any illegal or harmful purpose.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the service.
  • Do not scrape or mass-download data beyond what the API provides.
  • Do not redistribute raw API responses as a competing data service.

4. Attribution

If you use Bamwor data in your project, please include visible attribution: "Data from Bamwor (bamwor.com)". Data is licensed under CC BY 4.0.

5. Rate Limits

Each plan has specific rate limits. Exceeding these limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Repeated abuse may result in key revocation.

6. Data Accuracy

Data is provided "as is" from public sources including the CIA World Factbook and GeoNames. We do not guarantee completeness or accuracy. Do not use this data for critical decisions without verification.

7. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The API may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance. Paid plans include SLA guarantees as specified in the plan agreement.

8. Billing & Subscriptions

Paid plans (Pro and Enterprise) are billed monthly in USD. Subscriptions renew automatically on the same day each month. You will be charged at the beginning of each billing period.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No charges for subsequent periods.
  • Non-payment: If a payment fails, we may downgrade your API key to Free plan limits after a 7-day grace period.
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy. First-time subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their initial payment.
  • Price changes: We will notify existing subscribers at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.

9. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the API after changes constitutes acceptance. Breaking API changes will be announced with reasonable notice via the changelog.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to revoke API keys and terminate access for violations of these terms or excessive abuse of the service.
